COUPLES THERAPY

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

$150 / 80-90 minute session

Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond to them. Through talk therapy, you’ll learn about acceptance and how to exert  power of choice over whatever life may throw at you.

FAMILY THERAPY

$225 / 80-90 minute session

Looking for keys to a happier, healthier family life? My role is to provide you the tools and techniques to achieve a balanced and fulfilling family relationship dynamic. After several sessions, you will become well-versed at handling issues whenever and wherever they arise.

I am not set up to direct bill insurance companies. I am an out-of-network provider. As a courtesy I will prepare a billing statement that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

WILL MY INSURANCE PAY?

Insurance companies may try to dictate the session length or type of therapy, even though this may not be helpful for you as a client. By not directly billing your insurance, we are in control of the best treatment for you.

SHOULD I BILL INSURANCE?

WHY DON'T YOU BILL INSURANCE?

DO YOU BILL INSURANCE?

While I do not direct bill insurance, I will give you a billing statement that you can submit for possible reimbursement.  If you have a PPO insurance plan, your insurance may reimburse $25 - $70/session.

Call your insurance provider, verify therapy coverage, and ask the following:

  1. What are my mental health/behavior health benefits?

  2. How much is my deductible?

  3. Does my plan cover therapy code 90834 (individual therapy) or 90847 (couples or family therapy)?

Please be aware with the health care reform act, filing an insurance claim may result in a “diagnosis” being attached to your record permanently; for this reason many clients prefer not to submit bills to their insurance for reimbursement. Insurance typically reimburses for a “mental health diagnosis,” such as depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, etc. Another difficulty and uncomfortable idea for clients is that an insurance administrator who is not a therapist can access client records and may make a decision on the maximum number of visits and determine if therapy seems "necessary.”
